Scarlett Bowman

Artist Profile

Scarlett Bowman works with ready-made materials, repurposing everyday objects in her artwork. Employing traditional craft based processes such as assemblage, collage, casting and stitch she uses hand-made techniques to combine her ready-made finds. Bowman explores the physical experience of handling her materials, creating work that blurs the distinction between two and three dimensions.

Scarlett Bowman lives and works in London. She graduated from Chelsea College of Art, London in 2014. Recent exhibitions include A Room of One’s Own, Koppel Project Central, London (2019), Polymer, Fold Gallery, London (2016), Sunny Side Up, Rook and Raven, London (2016), Dysfunctional Alterations, two-person exhibition, Balzer Projects, Basel (2015) and Hyperion, 119 E 17th Street, New York (2016). Her work is held in collections including Soho House Group.
