Scarlett Bowman’s limited edition print is entitled ‘Tatters’. It relates to her ‘fragments’ series incorporating found pieces of textiles into a collage. Bowman works with ready-made materials in her wider practice, repurposing everyday objects in her artwork. Employing traditional craft based processes such as assemblage, collage, casting and stitch she uses hand-made techniques to combine her finds. Bowman explores the physical experience of handling her materials, creating work that blurs the distinction between two and three dimensions. Scarlett Bowman lives and works in London. She graduated from Chelsea College of Art, London in 2014.
