Hannah Lees’ prints feature versions of the hand gesture made by the penitent Mary Magdalene in paintings by Titian and El Greco. The prints are part of an exploration of themes of hermitage and pilgrimage which relates to her wider interest in cycles of constancy and mortality; the sense that things come to an end and the potential for new beginnings.
